Description

I saw this mentioned somewhere on the page, but did not see a ticket for it. It would be helpful for the people that use my site to host their projects if there were a download counter available. I would like to get some feedback as to the best way to approach this:

To store the download count: - sqlite, custom tables in trac db? - file based storage?

Should this be configureable: - enable/disable?

Sounds like a great patch to have. I would recommend using the trac DB, but I am not particularly experienced with extending the trac DB.

Options to enable / disable would be good, but on by default is cool
